Crew Advancement:

The Engineering Advancement Tests have been reduced from three tests of 100 questions each to one test with a total of 100 questions. The test is divided into three types of questions: UNIX for Users, UNIX for Programers, and UNIX System Administrators. The original test was designed as an Academic Placement Test for Engineering Professionals. The concept was to see if the Engineer taking the tests had successfully completed the courses at hand. These same professional courses are now being thought at Venturing Crew 369. Consequently our Venturing Crew Members will fall into one of three ranks of honor:

Jr. UNIX System Administrator,
UNIX System Administrator, and
Sr. UNIX System Administrator.

The level of the Venturer will be designated by the color of the Secondary Honor Cord worn on the left shoulder under the eplit.

If the youth or adult Venturer achieves 80 or better on the Engineering Advancement Test s/he will be presented with the Red Secondary Honor Cord.

If the youth or adult Venturer achieves 180 or better on the Engineering Advancement Test s/he will be presented with the Blue Secondary Honor Cord.

If the youth or adult Venturer achieves 280 or better on the Engineering Advancement Test s/he will be presented with the Green Secondary Honor Cord.

If the youth or adult Venturer achieves a perfect score of 300 on the Engineering Advancement Test s/he will be presented with the Gold Secondary Honor Cord.

The Secondary Honor Cord is worn along side of the Primary, larger, cord. The all White Primary Honor Cord signifies membership in Venturing Crew 369.

The White with Black Primary Honor Cord signifies both membership in Crew 369 and Eagle status within Scouting.

A Gold fiber woven into the Primary Honor Cord signifies the successful completion of ones Venturing Basic Adult Leader Training.

The Gold/Black fiber woven into the Primary Honor Cord signifies the successful completion of the Venturing Youth Protection Training Program.
